MYAA 1st Annual Spring Wiffleball Tournament - Guinness World Record for Longest Continuous Wiffleball Game to be Set during Tournament.
The Guinness World Record for the longest continuous wiffleball game is 24 hours. We have gotten approval from Guinness to attempt to smash that. There will be 2 teams of 18 and older players consisting of 5 players per team. How you can participate will follow! We will also have a tournament going on while the record is being set. Start thinking about your teams. Details about the event will follow!! THE DATES WILL BE 3/26 - 3/28 PLANNING IS STARTING NOW. WE NEED 5 - 8 VOLUNTEERS AS THIS EVENT WILL GET A LOT OF PUBLICITY AND SHOULD BE FUN FOR EVERYONE! THE FIRST PLANNING MEETING WILL BE MONDAY NIGHT 6:30 AT BIG LEAGUE DREAMS. BACKGROUND CHECK REMINDER
A REMINDER TO ALL MYAA COACHES FROM THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT:
Our grant to cover the costs of mandatory volunteer coaches background checks is set to expire on December 31, 2009. After that, the $26.50 fee will be the responsibility of coaches.
If you have not had your background check completed, please visit the Recreation Department offices on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building, 17 North Main Street, to obtain the form. Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. (Offices will be closed on Friday afternoon, December 18th) Individuals who have had background checks as a condition of employment should call the Rec. Dept. at 654-2512, as you may be exempted from this requirement.
Also, check the Township or MYAA website after the first of the year for the schedule of classes for the Rutgers Coaches Safety Clinics.
